BSB - Officially ‘British International School of the Year’ 2022

The British School of Brussels has been named ‘British International School of the Year’ 2022 at the Independent schools of the Year Awards.

BSB was honoured for the school’s incredible work, especially in its range of transformative and innovative projects and its efforts to promote its values through its everyday actions. In particular, the award is in recognition of BSB’s efforts to be an educational force for good, exemplified by the school’s reaction to the Ukrainian refugee crisis and the welcoming of over 50 students from Ukraine into the student community.

“I’m delighted with this award, it is a marvellous recognition of the whole community of BSB, my colleagues, parents, our Governors and of course our wonderful students” said Principal Melanie Warnes, who was at the ceremony in central London on 11 October to collect the award. “We all came together at a crucial moment in time and together we made a difference to the lives of others. To have the high quality of BSB recognised globally makes me very proud indeed.”

The ceremony was attended by leading figures from the education sector who enjoyed the celebrations of this the fifth year of the awards. The winners were chosen by an independent panel of judges from more than 700 nominations.
